opendict software package provides computer dictionary for several dictionary formats, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install opendict
opendict is installed in your system.
Make ensure the opendict package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep opendict *
You will get with opendict package name, version, architecture and description in a table
